About English Crafts

Having discovered the delights of canals and narrow boats, I then found that I had also inherited my grandmother's love of crochet. It seemed the ideal way to occupy a quiet evening on board and I was fascinated to discover that many of the working boatwomen from ages past had also enjoyed the craft, and used it to beautify their cabins.

English Crafts is a site devoted primarily to the sale of the Canal Boat Cabin Crochet I now make, both from traditional and original designs, although I do also supply some pattern books. 
I also have a Miscellaneous section in which you will find other crochet items.  These are usually bra tops, and sun hats, or other items of clothing which might also be of use on a narrow boat!
